Finally getting your hands on some pretty cool device like a tablet computer or a touch screen laptop can be really satisfying because of its perks. You can take notes with your own handwriting, manage files like copy and paste or drag and drop with the use of a stylus or your own finger, making the navigation faster and more reliable.

Aside from speed and reliability, the numerous applications that can be used makes touch screen laptops the hands down winner when it comes to features. To name a few apps that will make anyone go crazy with want, there are music creators, photo editors, drafting tools, e-books, audio books, weather bug, drawing apps like finger painting and numerous games that are jammed in this small device. The video playback, photo browsing and mailing is fast. You can also purchase different accessories to broaden the capabilities of your new baby.

Moreover, the screen solution is smooth and clear. Screens like iPad have an oleo-phobic surface that should repel greasy smears and fingerprints. Even though the coating isn’t 100% and eventually wears off, it proves to greatly resist the oil streaks compared to others gadgets. Video conferencing is also a plus. In tablets like Galaxy, it has two cameras and available apps that enables you to videoconference with other online members and send pre-recorded messages.

However, if there are pros, there are definitely cons about touch screen laptops. The release of the iPad in the market really created a lot of rumours and guesswork about its productivity compared to what a standard laptop can do.

First is the inability to keep several windows open at the same time and switch them back and forth. Next is the printing issue because you can’t print anything from it. There’s also the concern about Flash player that enables one to view and download particular apps and files with a different property. Even though the screen is clear, it can also get awfully greasy. The smudges are visible especially when the light on the screen is turned off. But nothing can’t be resolved than a quick wipe and making sure that your fingers are from oils before using the device. And of course, it can leave your pocket starving for a while because of its price.

But if you don’t do much work other than checking mails and browsing the web, these cons are considered minor details in comparison to its redeeming features.
